On June 5, 2025, an agreement was signed between the Rafael Agladze Institute of Inorganic Chemistry and Electrochemistry of Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University and the Nagiev Institute of Catalysis and Inorganic Chemistry of Azerbaijan on the establishment of the “International Green Hydrogen Laboratory”. The agreement was signed by Grigor Tatishvili, Director of the Rafael Agladze Institute of Inorganic Chemistry and Electrochemistry, Academician of the Georgian National Academy of Sciences, and Academician Dilgam Tagiev, Director General of the Institute of Catalysis and Inorganic Chemistry.
The goal of the signed agreement is to create a multidisciplinary platform for joint research, technological innovations, academic cooperation and knowledge exchange in the production, storage, transportation and use of green hydrogen.
The created laboratory will be based on the Scientific Research Department of the Institute of Catalysis and Inorganic Chemistry – Nanoelectrochemistry and Electrocatalysis Laboratory (Azerbaijani side) and the Scientific Research Department of the Rafael Agladze Institute of Inorganic Chemistry and Electrochemistry – Applied Chemistry Department (Georgia).
